Question by Brad: How can I find a wireless network security key?
If my computer is already configured to connect to a secured wireless network, is there a way to figure out what the security key is?
I am trying to learn the security key for a secured network using Windows XP. My computer is already configured to connect to this network, I just want to figure out the security key. Can anybody give me specific details or instructions?

if u use windows os u may not be able to find it out but if u r gonna use linux u have some options to find it out.

i am taking a ccna class an i cant seem to fined how to assign a port range to a vlan. is it the same for all cisco switches and routers?

not all switches support that feature, most of the newer switch does, it’s just depends on the code on the switch. I have never seen that on any router.

It will take about a year at that rate, i took a ccna course that was a year long at 8hrs in class and another 6hrs a week studying. I already had my MCSE and 2 other certs so it was’nt that big of a ball buster for me. Unless your already employed go all the way for the CCIE, that pays about a buck and a half a year and you can go anywhere and work. They are in very hi demand

I unbox the Belkin 150 Wireless Router, I am currently using this in my dorm room and it is working great. My dorm room was getting awful WiFi speeds, so I went out and bought the Belkin 150 for and hooked it up and now my WiFi is fast as anything. Comment, Like, and Subscribe! XD

Depends on the router. Check your manual for blocking ports or throttling.

Question by PepoteRouge: How to determine wireless network security key?
I’m trying to set up a wireless network connection for my new computer, which has Windows 7 installed. It recognizes the network, but I don’t know the security key (passphrase.) I know it’s usually the number under the serial number on the router itself, but I’ve tried entering this number and I’m still not able to connect to the network. What do I need to do?

go into your router’s configuration, most probably by typing in 192.168.1.1 into your web browser, the username and password are both usually admin (but this can vary on your provider etc) and then you should be able to view and change the wireless type and code
