I think that's what I'm looking for. the things they were giving out the vouchers for when they did the switch to digital from analog. Where can I find one of those boxes? And what are they called? Thanks!

If you have an old tv and don’t have cable then you do need the converter box. This is only to receive broadcast signal using an antenna with your old tv. If you are still getting tv program then you don’t need it. It has been over 9 months after the conversion.

That’s a digital to analog converter. It’s for receiving the new over-the-air (OTA) digital channels in the U.S. (and next August, in Canada). See the reference for an example.
It’s only needed if you have an old analog TV. It has no application with a modern HDTV purchased in the U.S., which already has the necessary tuner.

there called " converter boxes"……4 yor tv……………yeah crazy rite?,lol….we can’t even watch reg tv unless we add a $40 c.b. just 2 watch channels that bk in the days were free as long as u paid yor electric bill………lol,lol………call 211(all types of helpen humans w/issues,homeless,food,free insurance,help/well fare..meaning well being of yor self n others IN NEED and/or CRISIS..211info help) they will give u the 800 number where 2 go next…
