  1. call cisco up and see how much it is to repair it, see how much it costs to replace it or get a replacement router that can handle the same amount of connections for cheaper whilst it gets repaired, *shrugs*

  2. wow, sounds like a shortcut, the router is fried my friend. You rubbed all the circuits with the screwdriver when the router was on!. Call CISCO and see if there’s a way to repair it. No wonder why your boss is mad.

  3. Rubbing the screw driver across the circuit board, most probably must have short circuited due to either elctrostatic charges or the possibilty could be that some connections are broken on the circuit.

Contacting CISCO wud be the first option and any local vendor who repairs WAN devices would be second one.

if it was in India, im sure it could have repaired, provided the damage is not too much.

    hope that answers ur query
    take care

  4. you have short circuited the circuit board and the only way to get it up and running is to replace the circuit board. again this is dependent on the extent of the damage. But since you turned it on and moved the screw driver all over this has definately caused a short circuit and components to burn. if it is under warranty send it back to the company saying its not working, but they will find out if you have left scratch marks. I would suggest getting a similiar board of another router of the same kind and switching it.
