connecting idirect 3000 to cisco router?

hi,
i have an idirect 3000 connected to my server for internet access.my server connection to the sat router is:ip add 196.29.216.90 255.255.255.248, gateway 196.29.216.89.
all is well.
now i want to introduce cisco 2621 into the network.fast ethernet port 0/0 is connected to the sat router and configured as above.
i could ring the 2 ip addresses on the router but could not ping the sat router
what can i do?

    well if you could Ping 196.29.216.89 but not 196.29.216.90 but you have it connected to 196.29.216.90. try trasert or pathping in dos.

    try connecting it to the gateway. if that dose not work e-mail me and i will need more info.
