Is OSPF implemented the same on Cisco routers as it is another vendor, like Juniper? Why or why not?

ospf is a open standard routing protocol that has been implemented by a wide variety of network vendors including cisco.the only other protocol u could use would be rip1 or 2 but if u have a large network then your only options are ospf or route redistribution. so yes
