Why is it asking for WEP if i have WAP wireless security?

I want to connect a desktop to wireless. I have the network set up already with an xbox and a lap top on it that are hard wired in. It has WAP security and NO Mac address filtering. When i try to connect with my desktop it is asking me for a WEP key. This doesnt make sense. Since the security is WAP and not WEP ... where is the key it is asking for?

I was taking my companys Cisco Router apart because it was acting weird so I turned it on while it was apart so i then took a screw driver and rubbed it all over the cirtuits and now it will not turn on my boss is very mad what do I do now?

i want to set up a wireless internet security camera at another home where there is no internet available. Is there a self contained camera that I can just plug in and it either sends the signals to a monitor 30 miles away or can send signals to the internet so I can watch over the net?

when i use my cordless phone, my signal from my router cant be picked up by my laptop and sometimes it cuts off the cable internet from the cable box to the desktop computer.

I purchased a refurbished linksky router on Ebay.com and barely got to enjoy it before the connection was knocked out for some strange uncommon reason. Now every time I try to re-do the process I get an error message from the disk sayin it cannot continue the process due to I need to use the default password and username which I do not know. HELP ME!! Please!!

I have a Cisco 3600 router (routerA) with async NM32 module and octal cables which are connected to a patch panel. I have a straight-through connected between the patch to the console port of another router (routerB).
I cannot access the routerB from the terminal. What cable should be used between the patch panel and routerB? Rollover?
